COMMUNITY ACTIVATIONS

Eat Street Recovery and Revitalization
We are moving forward. From a long winter in Minneapolis a quiet clarity emerged: we do not move alone. People came together – not to linger on what was, but to carry one another toward what’s next. Through presence and care, healing began – not all at once, but enough to take the next step.
That forward motion reflects the legacy of Prince. In Baltimore, he modeled love as action – gathering people through his Rally 4 Peace and giving voice to grief and hope with “Baltimore,” grounded in the call to Love 4 One Another. His example reminds us that to give back is to show up, uplift others, and move ahead together.
This optional activation invites Prince Celebration guests to come together in community – to reflect, honor, and support ongoing healing across Minneapolis. Rooted in L4OA: Love 4 One Another, it extends Prince’s legacy of unity and care beyond Paisley Park and into Eat Street, an area deeply impacted during the unrest.

As the Fam community gathers from all around the world, there is a local community in Minneapolis and the Twin Cities that has struggled considerably over the past few years which we wish to support and acknowledge. Even if your Celebration schedule is full or if there are other activations that draw your attention, Paisley Park and Prince Legacy invite you to take part in the below community activations throughout Minneapolis during Prince Celebration 2026. This is an opportunity to step beyond the main events and connect with the broader community that helped shape Prince into the artist he became. By participating, you’re supporting the city Prince called home and celebrated so deeply, while honoring his legacy in a meaningful, shared way.

PRINCE LEGACY
YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH initiative
Prince was a major donor to numerous organizations with the goal of enhancing the quality of other's lives. In the spirit of Prince's Legacy, please join us at Prince Celebration as we focus on youth mental health and how the creative expression of music and the arts serves as healing and therapeutic mechanisms for non-verbal outlets and the creation of safe, supportive spaces to instill greater confidence and resilience while reducing anxiety and fear in young people.
For more about our Youth Mental Health Campaign, please stay-tuned and we will update you on our fund-raising efforts to directly benefit those in need -- MORE TO COME
Youth mental health is a growing crisis, with many young people experiencing depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts
A large number of teens who need help are not receiving any mental health treatment
In Minnesota, thousands of young people face serious mental health challenges each year
Schools are increasingly impacted, with student mental health identified as a major barrier to attendance and learning
There is a shortage of mental health professionals, limiting access to care, especially in underserved communities
